You have chronic kideny disease. You need to provide complete information for better advice. It can be reduced with specific treatment available with me. You can use natural zero calorie sweetener stevia as safer alternative.
As your potassium level is on higher side its better to use groundnut oil.
For any further information or advice you can book an online consultation with me on Lybrate. Thank you. Take care till then.

Scientists have concluded that sugar stimulates the exact same centers of the brain, which derive pleasure out of heroin or cocaine. For those who are addicted to sugar, getting off it leads to intense cravings and withdrawal symptoms. If you have an uncontrollable urge to devour something sweet, you probably have sugar addiction too. Sugar is known to release dopamine and opioids, which not only makes it addictive, but makes it extremely difficult for you to overcome the withdrawal symptoms. more

Dear lybrateuser,
- Diabetes is the increase in blood sugar of the person
- it could be type 1 wherein there is lack of insulin production by the pancreas & type 2 ( more commonly found) wherein insulin is produced but there is a problem with its utilization by the body cells, in both cases the blood sugar increases.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
From the query I understand that you have PCOD and are on treatment. But what is the drug and dosage of it is not mentioned. Similarly there is no information on height, weight and TSH level.
As regards fasting blood glucose 91 mg/100 ml is absolutely fine. There is no reason to worry from that point of view. You can use either sugar or any substitute as you feel like. Thanks.

For diabetes follow a diet low in carbohydrate, low in fat and high in fibre. Walking for 30 mins a day for at least 5 days in a week is recommended. Follow a stress free life. Your sugars are high. I need to know whether it is your fasting or pp blood sugar. Medication will change accordingly.
