Only one vaccine containing 6 vaccines of DPT, Hib, IPV, and Hep B is available, but costly. Along with it Pneumococcal vaccine is given. Oral polio and oral rotavirus vaccine is also given. In Govt. 5 vaccine are given together and it's free of cost. But rotavirus and Pneumococcal is not available in government in most States.

You can polio if poliovirus infected water touch tongue. The poliovirus usually enters the environment in the faeces of someone who is infected. In areas with poor sanitation, the virus easily spreads from faeces into the water supply, or, by touch, into food. In addition, because polio is so contagious, direct contact with a person infected with the virus can cause polio.

You should yourself know by now if it is painless. Anyway it is not painless. Pain is a subjective phenomenon, experienced with different grades of severity by different babies.

Hello lybrate-user. First of all I want to make it clear to you that there is no absolutely painless vaccine. Every vaccine, whether large or small needle is used, has to be given by prick only. And this will surely cause some pain for your baby. Inj. Pentaxim consists of DPT, IPV and Hib. 5 components. It has not been available for quite some time now. Hence most of the doctors give oral polio drops and quadravax injection with DPT and Hib. Anyways you can enquire with nearby doctors once. Hope...more

If you r asking for yourself (age-36) then its useless. It should be taken before you become sexually active.
Doctors stop recommending the HPV vaccine to women once they've reached their mid-20s. The human papillomavirus vaccine is FDA-approved only through age 26, with the thinking that by that time women (and men) have had enough sex that they're probably already exposed to the virus and won't benefit.
However you should annually get your PAP smear done.
