Choosing a vaccine is your prerogative. We as pediatricians can only suggest. Both vaccines are effective. Advantage you have with pentaxim is that you additionally got polio injection which is not available separately in private.

Hello. Injectable polio is not available since many months. Nothing to worry. Yiu can give oral polio drops instead of IPV according to schedule. In addition to this, give polio drops given by government every 6 months on pulse polio days. Thank you!

Give penta 1 with OPV and then take IPV when it becomes available. IPV is in short supply but others are freely available in Mumbai. Ask in government hospitals, IPV may be available there. There is nothing optional here. These are additional vaccines, one is advised to give them to the baby if one can afford. Though bit costly they are certainly helpful to prevent the illnesses.
