Planokuf Xp Syrup

Planokuf Xp Syrup is used to reduce chest congestion caused by the infections, common cold or allergies. Being an expectorant, it works by loosening congestion in your throat and chest, making it easier to cough out through the mouth.

Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to it. It is not recommended for use in children younger than 4 years old. It is also advised to not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about your health condition and current medications. You should get medical help immediately if you experience any signs of severe allergic reactions such as difficult breathing, hives, swelling of your tongue, face, lips or throat. Less serious Planokuf Xp Syrup side effects may include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, headache, a rash or stomach upset.

The dosage for children and adults is different and is determined by the doctor based on your medical condition. The recommended dose for adults is 200 to 400 mg, taken orally every 4 hours as needed. Maximum dose for a day should not exceed 2.4 gm/day.

  Missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. It is recommended to skip your missed dose, if it is the time for your next scheduled dose.

• Are there any overdose instructions?

  Consult your doctor in case of overdose.

Planokuf Xp Syrup is an expectorant which reduces adhesiveness and surface tension of congealed mucous in upper respiratory tract to increase flow of mucous, stimulating and increasing efficiency of the cilia to remove the accumulated mucous.

Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.
