About Pivasta 2mg Tablet

Pivasta 2mg Tablet is a medication used to lower high levels of blood cholestrol and triglycerides in patients. It helps in preventing cardiovascular diseases by increasing the level of good cholestrol in your body. It belongs to the class of drugs known as statin (HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor) that reduces production of fatty acids in our body.

It is advised that you should refrain from using Pivasta 2mg Tablet if you are pregnant, plan on becoming pregnant, or are breastfeeding, have liver problems, allergic to the medicine or any ingredients in it, or taking gemfibrozil or cyclosporin. You should also consult your doctor before taking Pivasta 2mg Tablet if you have underactive thyroids, muscle problems, hormonal, endocrine, electrolyte or metabolism problems, on dialysis, taking warfarin, have history of alcohol abuse, diabetes, infection, low blood pressure, kidney problems, or taking any medicines or supplements.

There are no major side effects of Pivasta 2mg Tablet but you may experience constipation, back pain, and diarrhoea. You should consult your doctor if the effects last for long durations.

Pivasta 2mg Tablet is available only as tablets to be taken orally. You can have them with or without food but you should consult your doctor regarding the appropiate dosage.
