Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. Your blood glucose levels and hba1c% are quite well controlled. Pp glucose can be a bit lower, which can be managed by diet control and additional exercise. You have not mentioned your age, bp readings, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise as well as serum creatinine and urea, plus lipid profile. Hello, Thanks for the query.
All the drugs presently used in treating diabetes are quite safe including pioglitazone.
In a well controlled person fasting glucose should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8%. So please see that these levels are achieved. Thanks.

Dear Lybrate user, I understand that you have been doing quite a bit of research on the medications, but I just want to make one correction. Hello, thanks for the query.
Some times the cover of the tablets having sustained release type of drugs may come out in the stool. There is no drug in that. Please let me know whether your blood glucose levels are within limits or are those going haywire? Please look at fasting, pp glucose levels, and hba1c%. Then come back. Thanks.
