You can stop the medication based on your present EEG and if it does not show any epileptiform focus.

It is quite possible on the medication you are taking. For acne go with salicylic face washes and try using retinols and vitamin c serum on daily basis.

Hi thanks for your query. I am dr akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi.
Anti epileptic drugs are known to interfere with bone metabolism and can lead to osteomalacia etc due to which you can have lethargy, tiredness and bone pains. Please get your dexa scan and serum calcium and vitamin d levels and send it across to me so that I can see and advise accordingly. Do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.
Thanks & regards

Best treatment can be outlined by your consultant neurologist. It is not the question of best treatment. It is important to select the most effective medicine, in single or in combination, that is required for your son and that will be done by a neurologist. So please follow his advice. If eptoin has kept your son's seizure under control over last one year, I feel, he is under able hand.
