Dear lybrate-user, congratulations for accepting yourself as drug addict and taking treatment to reduce the harm to your life.
Please continue to be in contact with your doctor for many years even after stopping codeine and heroin. Relapses and lapses are common and you need to be continuously on relapse prevention methods. The longer you are on follow up, the better will be your life. All the best.

If you are having a serious addiction and you cannot quit its use, you will have to admit yourself to a rehabilitation center and go through their program for a complete recovery.
