Hi lybrate-user.
In addition to medicines, addressing what's keeping you awake and making you anxious might be more helpful. I practice cbt and use various relaxation techniques to help with sleep, overthinking and anxiety. Setting a pre-bed routine and getting some physical activity can help you. Switching off your devices an hour before can be beneficial as well.

I think. As you r on medication since 2011 for ocd wid relieving symptoms. Symptoms you mentioned might be part of restless leg syndrome. Which can be because of medications ,anxiety. And other causes. Usually benzodiazepine like clonazepam is used which you r already taking. Yes in addition to this you can try trihexyphendyl or levodopa carbamamazapine. For your symptoms. U can also avoid caffeine. Maintain sleep hygiene. Leg massage can also help.

I am a male of 29 years age. I was normal until only two years ago, I unintentionally measured by B.P and it came a little bit on higher side. Then I went to doctor and he also checked my B.P and it came a little on higher side. Then the doctor advised me to go for 24 hours ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and it came out to be normal but initial readings were high. Then doctor told me that you have white coat effect. I become nervous whenever someone else checks my b.p whether at home or in a clinical setting and my b.p comes out on higher side. But whenever I am alone and I record my B.P on automatic B.P monitor, it comes out to be normal and most of the times below 120/80. But from the last one year I feeling slight tinges near my heart and I feel that that my heart is beating against my chest but not to that extent but when I put my hand near hand, I can feel my heat beating sharply and like against my chest. I did an ECG and it showed left ventricular hypertrophy but showed that it might be some voltage criteria. Then I did an ECHO and it came out to be perfectly normal. But still I feel that there is something wrong with my heart and I continuously feel some tinges in my heart. Doctors first put me on petril beta and then other put me on concor 5 mg along with some anti depressants. Currently the cardiologist has put me on stalopam 5 mg and clonazepam 0.25 mg. That is all. But still I feel that I am not healthy and I always fear that there is something wrong with my heart and that might be due to high bp. Please help me and please tell me that whether automatic bp monitors from which I measure bp at home are accurate or not. Please help me.

White coat hypertension means only have anxiety related BP and automatic BP monitoring device is only for a screening The term “white coat” comes from references to the white coats traditionally worn by doctors. The white coat effect means that your blood pressure is higher when it is taken in a medical setting than it is when taken at home. On average, when your blood pressure is taken at home the top (systolic) number can be around 10 mmHg lower than it would be if taken by a doctor and 5 mm...more

Dear Doctor, I have acidity problem for the last 18 years. In 1996, it was diagnosed as Mild inflammatory Oesophagus and reflux. Was treated for two months. I have it remained almost all these 16 years. Regularly taking Omez 20 mg for almost 5-6 years. Recently I have suffered from 'dysphagia' for solids, after a an acute gastroenteritis with fever for two days .it was treated with antibiotics and pro biotic and glucose. One Doctor suggested me neck CT, Gastric Endoscopy. After Endoscopy, the Gastroenterologist concluded that there are two healing ulcers and HP infection for he prescribed Sompraz HP kits for 15 days. He advised also to consult a neurologist and if it is not Neurological problem then get neck scan to rule out tumor. After one of taking HP kit tablets, my problem of difficulty in swallowing food was disappeared. I didn't get other Tests. But even now I have to take either esomeprazole or pantoprazole tablets daily. My other problems and medication: (1) anxiety (for some 10 years alprax 0.25+0.5+0.25 and for the last 5-6 years lonazep 0.25 +0.5). When I was admitted hospital for gastroenteritis, one psychiatrist prescribed Serta 100 for six months and planned to wane of Clonazepam. (2) gardenal for 40 years. Taking 30 mg for the last 27 years. I had the last seizure in 1973 (3) previously I was asthmatic till 2000. That 20 years problem was almost totally cured. No attacks after 1999. (4) when asthma treatment came to an end I was diagnosed as high BP patient. Now I am taking MetXL 50 daily one tablet. What is your precious advice to me after reading all these problems? Kindly guide me. Thanking you.
