Hello doctor, Last year june I came to know that I am suffering from Syphilis. On my first test my VDRL came up positive with 1: 32 dilution and TPHA positive. After I get 12 shots of penicillin 2.4 LA injection on September 2017 my reports shows VDRL positive with 1: 8 dilution. As per doctor it was positive response to my treatment. So as per doctor's advice I keep continue my penicillin injection. Till today's date I got total 50 shots of penicillin 2.4 LA injection every Sunday. But unfortunately my VDRL is still reactive with 1: 8 dilution from last six months. My doctor said that I don't have to worry about it. He said I am already cured but my blood sample are gone to SEROFAST stage so it's still showing positive and stying constant at 1: 8 dilution. But I want to know if I am cured then why after taking 50 shots of penicillin 2.4 LA still my blood test showing reactive with 1: 8 dilution. When this SEROFAST position will go and my reports will be normal? Or this is gonna be serofast for lifetime and I have to suffer for this my whole life. Please give an estimate and detail suggestion. I am still continuing my penicillin shots. Is there any other way to get rid of this situation? Any alternative treatment procedure? Please help me. Thank you.

When level falls from 1: 32 to 1: 8 it means proper treatment. Now it needs 6 monthly test to confirm for 2 years to c whether it goes down or remains at same level. If detected as SEROFAST at end of 2 years one may repeat test at longer interval. "I have to suffer for this my whole life" this is not suffering.
Knowing HIV status important.

Pantie prevents throat infection and further rheumatic damage to valves. Concor and pinom can delay heart muscle weakness that occurs with age, specially after mitral valve replacement. In your case repair was done, so more details are required for final opinion. Best wishes.

Hello-
Balanitis can have both infectious and noninfectious causes. It is more common in patients with phimosis (the foreskin of the penis is too tight). Chronic (long-term, recurring) balanoposthitis increases the risk of developing balanitis xerotica obliterans (chronic dermatitis, most often involving the glans and foreskin), phimosis (foreskin too tight), paraphimosis (when the foreskin is retracted it cannot return to its original location), and cancer.

Penicillin injection given by doctor is completely wrong and un approved. Acne is not an infection. Please do t consukt you qualified personal or quacks. Please consult Dermatologist with MD or DNB or DVD degree. I have never seen penicillin injection given for acne in my life. It's all quackery and he may be giving steroids silently. Avoid such doctors.
