You have these symptoms because you have been dehydrated due to the typhoid infection. After your course of medicines, you can slowly start moving back to your normal diet. Please drink plenty of fluids, fruit juices and feel free to consult me so I can start you on medication for loss of taste. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a like. Thank you.

Tonsillitis is pretty common. Present guidelines suggest that if you have more than 4 to 5 episodes of tonsillitis in a year, or you have difficulty swallowing food, or you snore because of tonsils, then its better to get them operated and removed (surgical removal is absolutely safe, it would not harm your body in any way)
if anything less, it can be managed medically.
