I suggest you get back to your medication with doctor's consultation but also go for some intense counselings to help you get off of the medication in due course. Never attempt to reduce or discontinue medication without doctor's consultation. Your doctor will also want you to come off the medication but in a staggered manner and in accordance with your symptoms.

Alcohol worsens anxiety and panic on a longer run, so don't self indulge in maladaptive coping skills. As social drinking you can take alcohol rarely, in limited amounts only. Continue your anxiety medications as per psychiatrist advise.
