What type of cardiac surgery did he undergo? He needs an echo to check his rv function and so consult a cardiologist, till then you can increase the dose of the diuretic (tab furosemide). Also keep a simple daily weight check and then you yourself can adjust the diuretic dose, ask your cardiologist

I had ear pain so prescribed otek ac neo ear drops. I had a opened bottle from mid-june 2020, which I have used for 2 days (november 26 and 27, 2020). Later I realized we should not use opened chloramphenicol ear drops 4 weeks after opening. Will it cause any side effects. I have bought a new ear drop. Please advise as soon as possible.

Dear lybrate-user, ear pain can be due to bacterial infection fungal disease or just wax. You have to give a history of whether there is ear discharge if present its nature. Eventualy you must undergo an otoscopic (like stethescope) examination of the ear for which you should consult a good ent specialist at the earliest. Yours sincerely.

I do not think this is a cause of worry. My suggestion is to continue current treatment and repeat his blood tests at weekly intervals. You need not worry if the repeat tests do not show an improving trend.

Hello Doctor, My Grandpa is suffering from severe constipation. He is using Anti Psychotic medications like Risperidone and Quetiapine for his audible hallucinations. Normal laxatives like Milk of Magnesia is not working for him now a days. When a more powerful laxative is given, he is experiencing uncontrolled diarrhea. To control this diarrhea, he is having eldoper drug. After two days, he is suffering again from constipation. His stomach is very rigid and rarely he is experiencing urinary retention problem and using Furosemide for relief. He suffering a lot from these stomach problems.
