He seems to be case of metastatic ca lung. The treatment intent here is only supportive. You may give him cough suppressants like codeine syrup 2 teaspoons, thrice a day to reduce cough. But thst is not likely to improve his fight against cancer. Also was pleurodesis done, last time water was drained, otherwise it may have recollected.

While these may be the side effects of chemotherapy, they may also be a subtle pointer towards drop in white blood cell counts specially if the patient is taking the chemotherapy on a weekly basis. The patient also needs good pain management.

I understanding of your case says, he has Ca lung adenoca, treated with dCTRT, that progressed and now disseminated disease, which is not curable by any means. The goal of the treatment in such cases would be palliative only, which means to increase longevity without causing much side effects of the drugs and reduce his problem. Now going towards your questions, 1&2. At this juncture, Gene profiling is not necessary for me but to start the EGFR ...more

If there is localized backache than radiation treatment may be the right choice for the time being. Though it won't cure lung cancer. It may help in resolving the local pain. Patient is on erlotinib since 26-6-17. The medicine should have shown some benefit by now. Continue it for another one month. It may be stopped for the time /days spinal radiation is given by your treating doctor. Add bisphosphonates taking care of creatinine and calcium levels. Ask for appropriate amount of analgesics. Dear,
the first step is to evaluate if the cancer has spread from the breast to other areas. This will require certain tests including mammography of the other breast, chest xray, ultrasound scan of the abdomen and some blood tests. Treatment will include surgery to remove the cancer, radiation therapy, chemotherapy (injections) and hormonal therapy (tablets). Please visit a cancer institute as suggested as soon as possible. There are government schemes that will help eligible people to get ...more

There are various schedules of chemotherapy which are used. The most common being 4 cycles of dose dense (2weekly) Adriamycin + cyclophosphamide followed...more
