I had been talking syndopa plus bd & baclofen 10 mg tds for quite long. I had a severe head injury long back in 2006. & was in comma, for six months. Speech is slurred a bit now also. Can I stop that medicine. Or else continue it.

Sir I having intractable hiccups past 5 months. Some days reduce but next day coming. While hiccups breathing, talking also not easy. Eaten food also coming to mouth. When I breathing difficulty to live. What can I do now? I was taken neksium 40mg, baclofen (liofen) etc. But not reduce. 3 days not there, another 4-5 days become. I am worried about this. Please give me proper solution? I was consulted physician, pulmonologist, gastro enterologist. Thats why any psychologist/neurologist answer to me please. This is my humble request. Thanking You

I use to drink for almost two decades and from last 3 months I am not using any form of alcohol. I have been doing this for some times leaving for 6 months 3 years but repeated again, this time I want to stop for ever, most of the time I get pressure from seniors and old friends and family guys. I am wondering how I will not restart again, I am taking baclofen is it safe? My brother (40 yrs) is chronic alcohol addicted for 8 yrs. Presently he is taking naltrexone 50, prodep 20 (×2), & benfomet forte in mornings and baclofen 60 in evenings during one year according to doctor's prescription. Kindly elaborate on other symptoms such as pain in the abdomen, vomitting, or palpitaion, chest pain. It would be beneficial if you can give info on his chronic conditions such has diabetic/hypertension/any history of chronic disease.

Hlw, I am a 21 year old male. Recently I got hit by a football on my neck. There was no pain though. But after a few days I was feeling dizziness and weakness when I tried to walk or shake my head. Then I took some medicine like - folic acid, multivitamin, baclofen 10, zinc. I felt good. But after a few days the problems appeared again! this time I am so tired and weak. I am drinking orsaline, glucose etc. But nothing helps. Doctor gave me only vitamin d3, multivitamin with minerals and mebendazole. My cvc- hemoglobin-14 rbc-6.39 mch-22 mcv- 73 pct-0.23% rest are in normal range. Is it something I should worry about. [ both time my family members were infected with corona. But I did’t had any symptoms except these. I work on a computer all day. ]

I am 45 years old male, no history of diabetes and blood pressure, non smoker and alcoholic mostly vegetarian diet, eating normal meals for last few days I have problem of weakness and fatigue from evening onwards on investigation my blood pressure recorded as 94/65, pulse 80,101/58 pulse 81 & 118/54 pulse 63 currently I am on medication: cremaffin plus, ensorex 50 bd, baclofen 20, tizan 2 mg, febucip 40 mg once daily regarding cerebral palsy, spasticity and rigidity issues. My dad been treated with alcoholism and depression since last one year. he was taking Stablon 12.5,baclofen 10 ,amizep h 12.5, three times and stresnil 0.5 at night. He was good after 3 months. He was reading books. But most of the time he liked sitting and walking. He developed swelling in legs. He started to complain about pain in hands and legs. Also used to say his mind is not working well. After 6 more months he started reducing his daily doses thinking it may help. I ensured he takes at least 2 weeks to reduce any dose. Then after 2 more months he was confused. Standing for hour or sitting in washroom for hour. Wanted to go outside in midnight. Even if he just came from outside he will again like to go outside. We admitted him to psychiatrist, he was given Etizola plus 5, deven la 50 mg, baclofen 20 mg extended release, monotop 50 mg, genecephal trio in morning and excite plus, desvenlafaxine 100 mg, oliza 5, monotop 50 and felicita tab in night. after 3 months he improved in terms of going out. He go out look around himself and come back. And told us there is no one around him now. When asked he told he was seeing 5 ghost like faces earlier. Before this treatment he used to walk very fast like flying. But after this treatment he got slow. After few more days he again started to go outside. So now we went to a neurologist. He prescribed risperidone 2 mg, trihexyphenidyl 2 mg, lorazepam 2 mg, citicoline 500 mg. It really helped him. He was calm now. He started to respond faster than earlier. Memory improved. But issues still not fixed are - 1. He walk and sit like statue, not able to lift legs too much above ground. And walk straight. 2. Less control while walking specially while coming down from stairs. 3.will fall while sitting on ground and standing from ground. 4. Teary eyes as he don't blink eyes much. 5.face looks swelled. 6. Remember many things accurately but don't remember many things like his birthday. However he may remember something now but may forget when asked after few days. 7. Response is better but still slow when asked something.

Hi, I would suggest you to meet the neurologist and ask about the side effects of these medicines.
Secondly if the neurologist permits then take help of a physiotherapist. Thirdly give him some memory booster activities like puzzle book or show him many different things for one minute then hide those things. Now tell him to write the name of those things. Take him to some social club.
The side effects of medicines might have affected his memory and gait. please do not reduce and medicine...more

Hiccups since 7 days. Cough since 7 days. My dad went to shabarimala place where he climbed a hill of 7-8 kms, he is a cardiac patient and he is operated with stent 3 years back. He is diabetic since 8 yrs. After coming from shabarimala he had fever with chills and that day hiccups lasted for 1-2 hrs only. From next day he is having continuous hiccups. For which we consulted cardiologist and also gastroenterologist. They conducted all tests and all r normal. We have taken pantoprazole (other related drugs) and other drugs like sucralfate and baclofen for 3 days but no relief. So he had given perinorm oral evn then no relief. And for cough he was given clavam 625 and ascoril LS. Evn after 7 doses of clavam cough was subsiding. So pulmonologist changed the drug. He gave doxycycline (doxtyl) and deletus -D and also nebulization with levolin and budecort since 2 days. After starting doxycycline he had motions watery in consistency, for which he was given metrogyl 400 mg tid and redotil BD and sporlac tid. Not under standing wat to do.

Hi, I am Suffering from high grade fever (102-103) for past 2 days. Fainted with low BP (90/60) on 8th Oct and was given diclofenac injection for body pains. Started with IV fluids, paracetamol and antibiotics (MonoCef) since then. Headache, 4 vomiting yesterday along with prevailing low BP. Malaria, Dengue, HCV, HbsAg were -ive. CBP, LFT, BU/SC, SE were normal barring Hb level of 11. Since yesterday, I am having periodic episodes of continuous hiccups which has been very discomforting. Currently, I am hospitalized and Baclofen is being used for the hiccups. It seems to give temporary relief but whenever I ingest any liquids or solid food, the hiccups resume. Remedies like drinking water from the far side of a glass are working occasionally. What has been causing these hiccups? Are there any other ways to control it? Do you recommend any tests to help diagnose the hiccups?
