Hi lybrate-user, it is not advisable to use oxymetazoline for such a long time. You should stop using it.

Dear Lybrate user, xylometazoline and oxymetazoline are almost same. Both are used to dilate the blood vessels in the nose to remove the nasal block as occurs in cold and allergy. However, the oxymetazoline is used in children who cannot use the xylometazoline.

Dear lybrate-user, relax and calm down. When putting these drops in your nose throw your head backwards so that their effect is on your nose and after 3 minutes put your head in the normal relaxed way. Sincerely.dr. Vilas.

Ma'am does your daughter snore at night?. Primary cause for allergic rhino sinusitis in children is mostly enlarged adenoids. If that isn't the case then the deviated septum might be causing the obstruction. Since it's been only 2 months that you are faced with such situations. This can be taken care of by meds alone. please consult your ent doctor. Sometime it takes a little time for the condition to settle .don't panic.
