Hello Mr. lybrate-user, it's really tough to be in a situation which you are going through, would you be able to specify how many manic or hypomanic episodes have you had previously. There are certainly more drugs in our kitty as psychosurgery or dbt are not as evolved yet to address bipolar depression, ect & rtms are also available non invasive options. Don't lose hope, you may definitely fight this out.

Dear Parveen,
It is nice to know that you don't have any further episode with regular oxcarbazepine. As age advances, clonazepam and lorazepam (ativan) interferes with your memory and does not give any added benefits for your mood. So please reduce one by one slowly. Start with ativan 0.5 mg for 2 weeks and stop. Then clonazepam also 0.5 mg for 2 weeks and stop. You can use etizolam if anxiety or sleep becomes a problem temporarily for next 1 month. Please continue your mood stabilisers.

As you say" she is not responding" I assume that her fits are still not under control then, and she continues to have psychiatric problems. In that case she may need a change of present medications according to her complaints. I would advise you to consult a psychiatrist for the same.
