Hello, Very difficult to say that one is better than the other drug because both piroxicam and diclofenac have almost similar efficiency with respect to pain reduction. Piroxicam has slightly better acceptance due to lesser gastritis. Otherwise all other side effects are similar.

This pain will not go with pain killers. More pain killers will ruin her health. Pl get ot investigated. If rct is to be done, pl get it done. If some other problem, dentist will guide you properly. Till then do "kulla" (water swishing) by mixing sphatika, saindha namak and turmeric powder in warm water at least 3 to 4 times a day. Also press lavang tel (pure) swab. If you can get timur/ timra (looks like kali mirch) may be pressed in between teeth. Where it pains.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Some patients may develop swelling in lower limbs due to retention of water and sodium following intake of certain NSAIDs like diclofenac. It could be due to not tolerating that drug. So it is better she avoids it. First thing is stop the drug and if needed some antihistaminic may be used. Swelling will go away after stopping the drug. Henceforth, she should avoid using that compound again. Thanks.

If you have localized back pain with
- no neurological symptoms like numbness, paresthesia, weakness in limbs etc, my advice is: - intensive physical therapy initially under supervision of a physiotherapist and then at home.
- avoid forward bending, lifting heavy weights etc
- take an analgesic like diclofenac or something which suits your body for 5-7 days
- take muscle relaxant for same time as analgesic to relieve muscle spasm
- ice packs at the site of pain, muscle spasm<...more

Impacted wax is the cause of the ear pain. After putting the ear drops for 10 days the wax will become a little soft & then it has to be syringed out.
Consult an ent surgeon only & do not consult any other specialist or general practitioner. There is a technique of removing the wax without injuring the ear drum.
