What are benfotiamine, inositol, alpha lipoic acid, methylcobalamin & chromium picolinate and can it be given to anyone who is low in energy or bodybuilding and if its given to anyone could there be any serious side effects and till when those side effects will be there the dosage of the above vitamins are: Benfotiamine-150 mg Methylcobalamin-1500mcg Inositol-150mg Chromium picolinate-200mcg Alpha lipoic acid-100mg Do these vitamins have also side effects like they interfere with the concentration as I have heard these are given to alcoholics also.

These are vitamins and do not ahve any side effects and can be given to normal people or alcoholic as they lack many vitamins .

Sir I myself 23 year old female and now am currently 72 kg.My menustral cycle was irregular and was on medication ie Myo inositol tablets twice daily for 6 months and then ethinyl estradiol +Cyproterone acetate tablets for 4 months.After this my periods are somewhat regular that is there is 5 or 6 days delay. My height is approximately 158 cm.Do i need to face any future problem with this history.And also please guide me in reducing my weight.

Hai doc. We are ttc. Taking duphaston from cd 19. Cycle is 28. Have pcod. And taking myo inositol for that 3 months. This is my last month. Doctor told me to take duphaston for 1 week only. From cd 19 to cd 25. Is it okay? Because its my 6th day of duphaston. Period due is coming 18. Can I stop duph (7th day) tmrw? Or have to continue till 18? Pls answer.

Its given as you are a pcod patient you should stop it after 7 days for withdrawal bleed. You have less progesterone that's why it has been given.

My gyno prescribed me ovalife met tablet for a month but due to that tablet was out of stock or banned. I consult on online Dr. They recommend me ovabless tablet. I am a pcos patient and a bit overweight 78 kgs and want to conceive so is this safe? Want second opinion.

The tablet prescribed to you is safe. Get amh and homo-ir test done. It helps in treatment of pcos.

Pcos is characterized by insulin resistance in the body leading to the anovulation and amenorrhea or absence of periods. It also leads to weight gain that aggravates the insulin resistance leading to a vicious cycle. The above two drugs apart from weight loss, decrease insulin resistance and help control symptoms.

I have been diagnosed with thyroid and pcos in march this year when I was in india. I was using ovabless myo but now here it is not available, can I take myo inositol? Plus for thyroid I was taking thyronorm but it is also not available here, can I have euthyrox? After I was diagnosed with both of them. I have been doing exercise and yoga strictly everyday for 1. 5 hours. Also I stopped eating fried food, chips, and everything. I lost 6 kg in first month. You could take myo inositol as far as you have the same concentration of that found in ovabless. Euthyrox is ok but try to stick with same brand as it may affect the bioavailability (proportion of drug absorbed from your gut).

Rebesterone 5 will help you to get a period. Ovabless MYO will help you to ovulate.
But these will not help with PCOD. You will need to take a medicine called metformin (Glycomet) for the PCOD.

Your serum insulin level is normal. Do not worry about it. Metformin also helps in ovulation and inturn helps in conception. Follow a healthy diet, exercise for atleast 5 days a week and take a multivitamin which has inositol which helps in conception and treatment of PCOD if you have it.
