There are no studies that have looked at use of xylometazoline during pregnancy. Although, there is low absorption of xylometazoline into the bloodstream after using otrivine nasal spray, it is usually not recommended for use during pregnancy.

Ist of all stop otrivin nasal drops bcz on prolonged use it causes rebound process(rhinitis medicamentosa) causing persistent nasal obstruction for which the drug was used. So stop it immediately and start steroid nasal spray(ezicas-f) 2 puffs twice a day for 2 weeks.

Hi lybrate-user,
your problem is related to over use of nasal decongestant drops. You need to stop it and get your nose checked for a deviated nasal septum/hypertrophic turbinates. If so, you might need surgical correction. Also steam inhalation would help to get you off the drops for a while.
