Otrivin and nasivion are dangerous if used for more than a week. Metaspray is ok coz it's a very small dose of steroid.

Hello

If symptoms are sneezing, Running nose, blocked nose

1.Take proper rest/ lot of fluids

2. and Take proper home made diet.

3. Do Steam inhalation carefully by steam inhaler twice a day for 2-3 days,

4. You can take Tablet Levocetrizine 5 mg one tablet after food once a day bedtime for 3 days.(if no drug allergy )

Consult ENT doctor for further management

Do steam inhalation 2-3 times daily, Take one tablet of crocin 500mg sos after food if there is headache, and put otrivin nasal drop. If no relief you have to take antibiotic. consult

It is very easy to get sort of addicted to these nasal drops. Once somebody recommends you, you find it very effective, it opens your nose completely. So you use it frequently and gradually you start to realize that your nose remains blocked until you put the drops in. Requirement of drops gradually increases. You are habituated with these decongestant drops. You need to stop them immediately and never take them back instead you can start salspray nasal spray thrice daily and flomist nasal spray twice daily. For at least one month n cont upto 2 moths.

Kindly use ortrivin containing sodium chloride for nasal blockage.
Do not use otrivin containing xylometazoline or any other content.
Otrivin s (nasal saline drops) can be used again and again for nasal blockage/mild cough/respiratory sounds/snorring.
It is salt water and safe in infants even if used again and again.

Otrivin nose drops are not recommended for longer duration you need to visit ent specialist in person so exact cause of obstruction is know accordingly can get treatment. In current covid situation you can have teleconsultation. Hope answer is helpful.
