Its not recommended as it may give you gastric trouble or nausea. Additionally iron requirement of baby in first trimester is really low. But if you are severly anemic then for your own health you should take.

You better take Amway Iron Folic tablet... Costly but very good results...

Ultimately it costs the same... When it shows early recovery..
Also take proper treatment to cure the reason of low hb.. as only increasing it is not enough...
It will come down if the cause is not removed

If you have hb less than 7, kindly get iron sucrose injection 3 doses from nearest hospital. Take spinach ,red meat, green leafy vegetables more.
