Dear Lybrate user,
dark spots may occur on black skin when the skin overproduces melanin. Factors that can trigger excess melanin production include sun exposure and hormonal changes, such as those that occur during pregnancy. Dark spots can also occur as a result of inflammation or trauma to the skin, such as from acne. But do not worry at all. Receiving proper treatment will help to regulate this kind of issue very easily.

Tamsulosin is safe to be taken for long term. Get a repeat uroflowmetry done to see the benefit of tamsulosin. If no major improvements then we may need to escalate therapy and add newer therapies. And get a urine examination done again along with post voidal residue. Review once done. Will guide you further.
