Hello. Cypon syrup contains cyproheptadine which is an antihistaminic and tricholine citrate which is an appetite stimulant. This drug may have adverse effects like sudden weight gain, dizziness, nausea and abdominal cramps, therefore it is better to be avoided in pregnancy. Also its safety profile in pregnancy is not clearly established.

Lybrate-user, Thanks fr the query.
First and foremost is to achieve a strict blood glucose control with fasting < 100 mg & PP 150 to 160 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Taking too much of sorbitol does increase glucose level. Thanks.

Depends I the concentration of the xylometazoline and how many times have given it. If given once or twice no harm. If given repeatedly can cause problems.
