You can polio if poliovirus infected water touch tongue. The poliovirus usually enters the environment in the faeces of someone who is infected. Polio virus is presently not in active transmission form in india. There are Gere very less chances of Polio infection currently.
And as you told 3 doses given then it is almost sure that your child is completely safe.

Almost all cases of polio occur before age 5, therefore oral polio vaccine is usually not recommended beyond 5 years.
