You can polio if poliovirus infected water touch tongue. The poliovirus usually enters the environment in the faeces of someone who is infected. In areas with poor sanitation, the virus easily spreads from faeces into the water supply, or, by touch, into food. In addition, because polio is so contagious, direct contact with a person infected with the virus can cause polio.

The baby is safe after OPV too.
IVP is a recent trend and the vaccine is running in shortage. In some government setuo it may be available. Don't worry if it is not given.

Follow your doctor's advice, it is fine. He has appropriately given pentavac at 6 wks and quadrovax at 10 weeks. Difference is because of hepatitis b. It is to be given at birth, 1, 6 months. So your doctor has given 2nd dose of hep b at 6weeks (pentavac contains hep b). At 10 weeks hep b was not given as per schedule (quadrovax doesn't contain hep b) rotateq ok if earlier one not available.

All vaccines have a few side effects, but not storing the vaccine correctly may make it less effective. It is advisable to give the child injectable polio vaccine which is far superior to the oral vaccine that the government has recommended for the masses.

Ipv (injectable polio vaccine) dose is to be given at 8 weeks and 14 weeks (goigovt of india, 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks (indian academy of pediatrics) booster at 18- 24 months. At present in india there is shortage of ipv across the country so 8-12 weeks schedule has been suggested by goi. You can give second dose later but as you have not mentioned age of baby it's difficult to tell how long you can delay it. Generally delay upto 8 weeks is ok.

Polio virus is presently not in active transmission form in india. There are Gere very less chances of Polio infection currently.
And as you told 3 doses given then it is almost sure that your child is completely safe.
Nothing to worry.
Just go for regular vaccination.

Almost all cases of polio occur before age 5, therefore oral polio vaccine is usually not recommended beyond 5 years.
