Hello, I need advice. In which symptoms, olanzapine 15 mg dose is given to patient? Is it high dose or normal?

olanzapine is an antipsychotic medication used in illnesses like psychosis or schizophrenia. It is used in dose range of 5 to 30 mg per day. So, 15 mg per day can be considered a moderate dose.

Hi Sir, I have been taking olanzapine 2.5 once daily for last 3 years along with my antidepressants. My doctor now discontinued it as it was (perhaps) affecting my mood adversely. So how much time does it take for olanzapine to get out of my system completely?

it takes about 24-72 hours after discontinuing olanzapine for it to completely get out of your system.

yes. get ur self tested for hiv now and after 3 months. do not neglect it if u suspect the girl was hiv +ve.

Please help me doc's I have taken mdma for 6 month it help with my depression but did I damage my brain I take it after 2,3,4 day after every roll for 6 month I am also taking olanzapine for sleep but not in roll days no sleep without olanzapine is there any check from brain damage or is there any medical treatment for it please help and tnx alot.

No need to take Antipsychotic in 1 st episode of ocd...it can be treated only one SSRI except Resistant ocd or more then two episode.

Since I have started taking olanzapine 5 mg two years back it has helped reduce my panic attacks and anxiety. But due to side effects my hba1c has gone up from 6.1 to 6.7. My fasting and pp blood sugar levels are 117 and 129. When I reduce my olanzapine to 2.5 mg since last 10 days its withdrawal symptoms of increased anxiety and low mood is unbearable. Please advise what to do. Olanzapine causes diabetes and for sure in one year my hba1c will reach 7.0 compelling to take diabetic medicines. While reducing olanzapine make me suffer my daily activities. I am already taking care in diet and exercise.

Olanzapine is contraindicated in diabetics. So stop it. Give a wash out period to drug for 7 days. Report after7 days till then take tab clonazepam 0.5 mg 1 in the morning and 2 at night.
