It can be done till 5 years of age.

By the way, BCG therapy is for early and superficial cancers of urinary bladder treated by TURBT to prevent recurrence. We don’t need BCG for benign tumors. We do most of the cystoscopies as out Patient procedure under Local Anasthesia if they are just check scopies for follow up of bladder cancer or to rule out bladder involvement in Rectal or cervical cancers.

Hello,
bcg therapy is started in 7-14 days after turbt or after the stoppage of post operative bleeding for carcinoma in situ or very early bladder tumors. There is no clear cut limit for maximum time but I advice my patients to start the treatment within 4 weeks.
