Hello.
It will be necessary for you to continue the treatment (Itrasys and onabet cream) for atleast 2 months as these fungal infections are known to recur if the treatment is stopped in between. I would advice you to stop the medicines only after showing your treating doctor. Also once the treatment is stopped you can continue to use antifungal powder (Absorb powder) for few days on body folds.

don't worry..100% cure possible..Fungal infection or Ring worm.. when occurs in groin, called as jock itch.. Usually fungal infection is common in moist areas of body like skin folds..It's mostly circular or round in appearance.. May be red or black in colour.. Treatment depending on the type and severity.. Avoid sharing clothes, towels and soap; sweating also increases it..As it has to be differentiated from eczema and infection, its a must to see and confirm the diagnosis for proper treatment....more

The condition most often occurs when people wear tight-fitting clothing that traps in moisture.
Wash the affected skin two to three times a day.
Keep the affected area dry.
Avoid excess affected skin irritation by wearing 100% cotton underwear.
Avoid fabric softeners, bleaches, or harsh laundry detergents.
Wash your workout clothes, underwear, socks, and towels after each use.
Keep your affected area, inner thighs, and buttocks clean and dry, especially after you exercise...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Fungal infection is quite common n diabetes. Because of high blood glucose fungi do grow well. Therefore, it is very essential to achieve a strict glucose control along with antifungal treatment then only desired results can be expected. Since there is no mention of the FBG, PP & HbA1c%, no comments can be made. Thanks

Hi, onabet will help if you have a fungal infection. It will have to bebused for more than 2-3 weeks. Usually we give oral anti fungal as well since cream on its own does not remove fungal infection effectively. Fusidic cream will not help your black marks.
