Olmin 40 MG Tablet, an angiosen 2 receptor blocker (ARB), is used to lower high blood pressure. It is either used alone or in combination with other medicines. It lowers blood pressure by helping the blood vessels to relax, thus facilitating easy movement of blood. Optimal blood pressure levels help prevent kidney disorders, strokes and heart disorders. Take Olmin 40 MG Tablet as directed by your physician, usually once with or without food on a daily basis.

Olmin 40 MG Tablet is a type of angiosen 2 receptor blocker (ARB). This drug lowers high blood pressure, by relaxing blood vessels and allowing blood to flow smoothly. Although it is primarily used to treat high blood pressure, it can also be used to treat other conditions if your doctor determines so.

Olmin 40 MG Tablet can also cause side effects. The most common side effects are headache, back pain, diarrhea, presence of blood in urine, high triglycerides and fever.

It is advised to avoid Olmin 40 MG Tablet if –

An alternate medicine should be considered under the doctor's supervision.

    Dexamethasone

    The desired effect of Olmin 40 MG Tablet will not obtained if these medicines are taken together. This interaction is more likely to happen if dexamethasone is taken for more than 1 week. Inform the doctor if you have a sudden weight gain, swelling of hands and feet. If coadministration is needed then appropriate dose adjustments are to be made under the doctor's supervision. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function tests are to be performed.

    Diclofenac

    The desired effect of Olmin 40 MG Tablet will not obtain if these medicines are taken together. The risk of kidney impairment will increase if these medicines are taken together especially in elderly population or having pre-existing kidney disease. Inform the doctor if you have an increased or decreased urination and unexplained weight gain or weight loss. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function tests are to be performed.

    Insulin

    The effect of insulin will increase if these medicines are taken together. You may experience dizziness, headache, sweating if these medicines are taken together. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is needed. Suitable dose adjustments or an alternate medicine should be considered under the doctor's supervision.
