The tablet mentioned (both brands) is used to treat high blood pressure. Doctor must have prescribed it for high bp. So please do take it. It does not have any interaction with levothyroxine. Please remember thyroxine tablet needs to be taken on empty stomach early morning and nothing to be taken fro over 1 hour. Thanks.

Olsertain-h 40 tablet is a combination of two medicines. It helps to control high blood pressure in different ways. If high blood pressure is not treated it can lead to heart attacks, strokes and kidney failure.

BP 160/80 mm Hg is high, ideally it should be around 120 to 130/ 70 to 80 mm Hg. You may have to increase the dose of Olmesartan to 40 mg a day.
With HbA1c% 6% diabetes seems to be well controlled. Thanks

Your bp is within normal range. No need to change medicines. Monitor your bp randomly. If majority readings are less than 140/90, then continue the same medicines no need to change.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, follow the following routine for better control of your hypertension. 1) lifestyle modifications: yoga/exercise with diet rich in green leafy vegetables and healthy fats. 2) a routine night sleep at least 6-8 hrs
3) pharmacotherapy: currently you are on olmesartan 20 mg. Keep recording your bp once in every 15 days
4) connect with your doctor if you are symptomatic (headache, blurred vision, palpitations).

Mention your age and do you have any associated chronic illnesses like diabetes besides hypertension and also mention your bmi with respect to weight and height. Have you done echocardiography ,ecg, serum sodium ,creatinin, serum potassium ever.
You switch from olmezest h to olmezest am ,but keep check on bp readings and follow about said investigation once atleast so that you can keep record of your cardiac status.

If you have developed nasal congestion after starting olmesartan and is increasing progressively , you should change the medication in consultation with your doctor

Instead of these medicine, try tab telma 40 mg once a day only. A very good medicine with few side effects.
