1) It is very good that you are doing regular walking as it is good for BP control, also I hope you are taking dietary precautions alongwith walking. 2) Please understand that it is possible that your BP is well controlled because with both medicines and precautions, what you can do is trying to stop the medication under supervision of your doctor with regular BP monitoring, if without medications your BP remains controlled you can stop the medicine and then get your BP checked periodically.

Diagnosis of htn ,to be done in a manner of average three readings with out any preexisting stress, medication, illness, or effect of tobacco in totally relaxed conditions, or else ambulatory bo monitoring. If it was fulfilling all criteria than, medicationnto be added with lifestyle modification. As you have family history of htn, chancesnof having htn in you is high compare to normal individuals you can delay by regular aerobic type of exercise.

Blood pressure tab to be taken one at 8 am or so, if second one added by your treating doctor to be taken at 3.00 pm. I cannot add second medicine.

Eat a high-fiber diet. Get insoluble and soluble fiber. Limit foods that are high in fat. Choose lean meats. Incorporate probiotics into your diet. Eat on schedule. Stay hydrated. Continue treatment.
