You need and should take BP medicines. You should get aECG and serum lipid profile done. Also check yourself for diabetes. With these reports you see a physician who will give medicine for High BP. You also show your report to the doctor who is treating your bipolar disorder. He may change your medications if he or she feels so. Finally you should restrict your salt intake and do regular exercise and meditation.

Hello
you are already on 80 mg fluoxetine. There is no need for buproprion. Sometimes excessoive dosage can lead to switch to mania. Better go for some relaxation exercises and activity scheduling. Thanks.

Studies have looked at over 2500 babies born to women who took olanzapine during early pregnancy or throughout the pregnancy. These studies suggest that olanzapine use during pregnancy is unlikely to increase the chance of birth defects above the background risk.
Before planning pregnancy understand and accept higher risks to both mother and baby in view of age.
Also some reports, vaccinations and supplements are required prior to planning pregnancy.

Dear Bhooshan,
It depends on whether you get mania or depression, how frequently you get the episodes, how severe the episodes are, how long each episodes last, the understanding of your family, co workers and others about bipolar disorder, etc. Oleanz by itself may not cause any change in sexual performance. Oleanz plus contains Fluoxetine that may cause erectile dysfunction. If you did not have any problem with oleanz plus initially, you may not have any problem in future. It is not a long...more

Dear lybrate user,
it is better for your daughter to continue the medicines prescribed by the doctor, for the time being. But along with this she certainly needs counselling. She might have a number of issues at this age, which she may not be able to share with anyone. The counselling process will give her an outlet to express herself and understand her own mind. Cbt will work for her, but don't insist on it. Let the counsellor decide which therapy will suit your daughter. Most counsellors w...more

Hi lybrate-user
you can definitely try half a tablet although it’s a very mild dose.
I’d suggest you get a consultation and change your medications.
There are several types and classes of medications available for depression and anxiety which will not have the side effects you mention.
You can try other medication combinations for the same.
Hope this helps
