The medications olanzapine and Clonazepam are prescribed in low doses if there is a renal impairment under the supervision of a psychiatrist and only when the benefits of taking the medications outweigh the risks. If you have anxiety and depression issues you could review how bad the symptoms are and start cognitive behaviour therapy which does not involve medications. If that helps you and your symptoms reduce then medications can be reduced and stopped by the psychiatrist.

Oleanz is an excellent drug for acute/ immediate management of schizophrenia. Whether the treatment is going to be short lived or life long cannot be answered now, it depends on various factors and patient response. Yes the dose can be gradually brought down if the patient improves and maintains well. Total recovery in Schizophrenia rests on nearly 40-50 prognostic factors. There are alternatives to oleanz.

but a correct diagnosis is primary.
Acute management of your problem may need medication also.

They also produce side effects like metabolic changes which need to be monitored. They can be given initially and changed later to better medicines for maintenance. Since you are already on medication I suggest you talk to your treating Psychiatrist and convey your current symptoms to them. It is possible that some changes in medication dosages will help improve the symptoms.
