Hello and welcome to Lybrate. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Oliza 2.5 mg tablet is a potent antipsychotic drug. The peak effect of olanzapine (which is the main constituent of oliza 2.5 mg tablet) can be observed after 5-8 hours of oral administration. Use of alcohol is not recommended while you are taking oliza 2.5 mg tablet.
You can contact me for further advice and treatment options. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care.

Sir my friend is a avid weed smoker and he has been smoking for more than 10 years. A year back he had almost pshycosis .trigger was lsd. He was lost and acted mad for almost a year and was not smoking weed. He was prescribed oliza 2.5. He became more and more troubled. Then he started smoking weed again. And stopped talking oliza. He was definitely better and was becoming active. But in this lockdown I think he finished up his weed. So 3 weeks ago he stopped talking. His wife was worried and consulted a doctor who said to give oliza again. So she dissolved the pill in meal and gave him. But yesterday he came to know he was given oliza. He instantly said his wife to leave him. And now he is saying he needs weed not medicine. What should we do? I'm very very troubled looking at him as he is my childhood friend.

At the outset, my sincere thanks for being so concerned about your friend. From the available history, he has high support need, so he must be admitted to some mental hospital. He also needs injectible anti-psychotic at present as he is refusing oral drugs. One more problem with oliza (olanzapine) is that, if you crush the tablet, its efficacy is almost gone. So, oliza can not be the solution, instead there are other anti-psychotics that are colourless, odourless and tasteless liquid like water,...more

Tolaz 300 is an anti psychotic olanzapine and is used in psychosis like schizophrenia or in cases of depression where augmentation of the anti depressant is required. The first line of treatment in depression is giving an anti depressant.

Rage is contagious. When you have a temper, it may be difficult to admit there's a problem. You find yourself going from zero to 100. You were calm, and then your partner (or someone else) said something that triggered you. You snap, say something incredibly hurtful, and feel guilty. Before we know it, we go from being the adult in charge to the child having an emotional meltdown. I used to have the same issues. I was always an aggressive child. I was considered a very hot-headed person. I used ...more

Dose of venlafaxine is very less and it needs to be increased. Once you are on higher dose of venlafaxine then olanzapine can be stopped.
You require a detailed assessment.

You cannot take the tablets on your own over the counter as they are schedule h drugs and need proper evaluation from a psychiatrist, before being prescribed. They also produce side effects like metabolic changes which need to be monitored. They can be given initially and changed later to better medicines for maintenance. All these will be done by a psychiatrist, so kindly consult one. Good luck.

Oliza can be mixed with food, better get olimelt which disperses easily, as far as epiford is concerned they are controlled release tablet and breaking them down and mixing with food can have some changes in efficacy and duration of action. All these are best decided by the treating psychiatrist. Good luck.

Hi lybrate-user! there is no such injection to erase the same. As days goes by the body gets cleansed naturally through natural ways within a week or so. You can take as much as fruits, vegetables and water to detoxify the body. There must be a valid reason for having injected topaz before. Now if you still have doubt regarding the same you can consult with the psychiatrist in person at your locality itself. With regards,
psy. Msv.

Diabetes is a lifestyle disease, hence the most important treatment for controlling it is to follow proper diet and lifestyle. Here is the details you must keep in mind for controlling blood sugar and its complications:
1. Maintain body weight.
