Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Olmesartan is one of the newer molecules for treatment of high blood pressure. It ha no action of blood glucose. Increase in after food glucose level is directly depending on the quantity food that one takes. More if eat, post food level is bound to go up quite a few mg. Olmesartan is a very good drug for controlling high BP. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
It is good to see that both BP and blood glucose are fairly well controlled. Increase in microalbuminuria and creatinine suggests that kidney are getting affected mostly due to diabetes.
One of the group of drugs recommended for hypertension with diabetes is ACE-Inhibitors like Lisinopril, Enalepri or ARBs like Losartan, Telmisartan or Olmesartan etc. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. I learn that you have Hypothyroidism and hypertension. But there is absolutely no mention of necessary details like T4, T3 & TSH levels, BP readings, dosage of Levothyroxine being taken and also dosage of other drugs taken. Without any of these details, it is difficult to give any opinion.
In pregnancy first choice drug for hypertension is Methyledopa, then Labetolo and Nifedipine. Olmesartan is contraindicated.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details. Your blood glucose seems very well controlled. Please check HbA1c% that ould give a much clearer picture. BP is quite low. You stop the tablet Olmesartan for a few days and check again. As regards weight loss it is difficult to say why it has occurred or occurring. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
