No, need to increase the dose, rather supplementation is needed, you need to consult a psychiatrist with the set of depressive complaints remitted and still present, so adequate choice can be made. All the best.

You don't seem to have received proper trial of antidepressants. Moreover treatment you received might not be appropriate for your symptoms or their might be some underlying chronic physical illness or psychosocial issues. You better consult other psychiatrist. But be hopeful, if you were to receive ect so that it is the only treatment for you, you must not have written this comment. Take care.

Dear lybrate-user,
Postpartum depression resolves by itself after few months. One need to know the severity if depression to plan treatment.
In severe suicidal women, we need to give electroconvulsive therapy. In moderate severity, you can take fluvoxin tablets for few months. In your case, if it is only negative thoughts and not suicidal planning, you can opt for cognitive therapy to question and challenge the negative automatic thoughts. It will be 18-20 weekly therapy sessions.

The information given is too less to suggest any modifications but I beleive that you are suffering from ocd and your repetitive thoughts are because of neurochemical imbalances at brain. It is not voluntarily created. Having guilt that you are the culprit could be part of depressive symptoms which are common with ocd. Kindly consult online for detailed evaluation and better guidance.
