In t2 dm there is insulin resistance but there are no antibodies against it. Insulin resistance can be reduced by maintaining near normal body weight and a bmi of 23kg/m2. Insulin dose decided on the basis of blood glucose level both fasting and after food. Plus there are different types of insulins, it is not which one you are using. There are rapid acting and long acting insulins plus combination of both.
It is given in units per dose, not as ml. Taking excess insulin is not advised. It causes hypoglycemia. Thanks.
