Anyways since its 4 months that you did not have periods not even with estrogen and progesterone combination, it very important you undergo a complete evaluation.
Investigations required are: usg lower abdomen blood for cbc, tsh and ft4, prolactin and fsh. If all reports are normal than it important to rule out either diseased endometrium or outflow tract obstruction (asherman syndrome. This may require a hsg or better to ...more

The amount of time for which this medicine remains active in the body is not clinically established. Usually you should have your period during the fourth week of the cycle, after you have taken the last inactive tablet. If still in doubt, let's connect over a call and discuss it further for a better medical advice.
Thanks.

Hello, i'm 26 unmarried virgin girl. 2 years back I had laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis chocolate cyst 9 cm. And i'm suffering from endometriosis. After surgery I took digest 2 mg twice a day for 6 months, but while taking this tablet I suffered a lot with stomach pain, spotting, break through bleeding and vomiting. So doctor suggested ethinyl estradiol (0.02 mg)+desogestrel. (0.15 mg) ocp back to back for 63 days once per day. After 63rd day I stopped this tablet, so that my periods came. From 3rd day again I started tablet for 63 days. Like this for 6 months. Then my doctor told me to take this tablet for 42 days back to back. Till may 2021 I took this tablet like this. But on may month I suffered with severe bleeding while taking that ocp tablet. To stop bleeding I took norethisterone 5 mg. My question is shall I take norethisterone 5 mg once a day continuously for 42 days cycle for 2 years? (like ocp). And what are the side effects on this tablet? Is there any serious side effects on this tablet? Note: don't suggest ocp combination pill again, bcoz it is not suitable for me.

Dear lybrate-user,
you are an unmarried young girl. It is not advisable for you to take norethisterone tablets for long periods like 2 years. But there are long acting injectables like lupron depot of various strengths. You could take it under the supervision of a gynecologist to alleviate your severe symptoms. Wish you symptom free future years.

Balanitis is an irritation on the head of your penis. It's most common if you haven't been circumcised. It's usually caused by not washing under the foreskin thoroughly, getting a sexually transmitted infection (STI), or by certain skin conditions like eczema.

Hello-
sex and intimacy aren't the same thing. There's intimate sex and un-intimate sex. There's intimacy without sex and sex without intimacy. For some, especially young people and those less experienced with sex (though not only), sex can come with intense feelings and can feel like intimacy.

Here is a list of 3 scientifically proven ways of increasing intimacy with your partner.

1. Look them in the eye and tell them all about yourself

Self-disclosure is an important part of relationships, especially during the initial phase. However, gradually as people feel that they've known enough about each other, communication seems to come to a standstill. But the actual reason for this is not the lack of things to talk about but resistance which arises out of a feeling of vu...more

Testosterone and oestrogen loss after menopause may cause changes in the sexual drive and body. Postmenopausal women might notice a loss of sexual interest and may respond less to stroking and touching. That may lead to decreased libido. Lower oestrogen levels can lead to reduced blood flow in the vagina. That may adversely affect lubrication in the vagina. Vaginal dryness during or after menopause can be successfully treated by using water-based lubrication.
