It will increase your blood sugars in long run and may precipitate diabetes and nephropathy, its a good anti anxiety drug but cannot be used for long time. Pl stop it and let me know why you are using it. Best wishes.

Hi I have been taking inderal/ciplar for performance anxiety. At once it was effective to relive the symptoms. Now it seems not working for me any more. Can I have alternate option for propranolol. I researched about metoprolol and atenolol can anyone suggest brand name and how should I take it and how much dose for performance anxiety. Usually I take ciplar 40 mg 2 hour before an event. Can I take similar for atenolol or metoprolol? Please help as my anxiety symptoms are worse.

They are actually cardio selective and may not work, better take a safe low dose transient release Benzo before the performance along with Propranolol. Good luck.

Health Query

I take shower outside home at late time then it starts happening with me that I feel unrelxaed in the room and I try to sleep out of the room and my heartbeat was high and shortness breath occurs so I visited a doctor and the doctor told me it a kind of stress/depression so he have me propranolol and some medicine for pain coz my body was suffering from pain. When that night I eat inderal (propranolol) I do not know but my head started feeling extremely heavy its been 3rd day my head is soo heavy and at night when I go for sleep I wakeup my self just after 2 hours or 3 hours and when I wake up my head is like stone it is sooo heavy and all day I feel like my mind needs sleep but I can not sleep as I wakeup by self from sleep.

I am taking escitalopram one day and ciplar la 40 another day I am 17 years old boy. Taking of both medicine simultaneously can cause any problem and solution to stop such medicine.

Taking both together will not cause problems. For stopping you need to discuss with your psychiatrist and get the needful done, depending on the symptom resolution.

Regarding antihypertensives and covid vaccine currently there is no evidence that itâs contraindicated. Simply put yes you may continue propranolol (ciplar) as per your current prescription. Neurokind is multivitamin mainly for immunity and nerve health. That too has no interaction with the vaccine.

You need to find the reasons for the headache, it is uncommon in anxiety. It can be stress headache, migraine, etc. Ciplar is safe, but take as per your psychiatrist advise. Good luck.

Recently I got thyroid profile check and it shows hyperthyroidism - TSH - 0.005 T3 - 2.84 T4 - 16.44 I was advised to take Carbimazole 20 mg in morning and propranolol 40 mg at night daily. I am 18 years old and I have normal blood pressure, do I still need to take propranolol 40 mg daily? Will only taking Carbimazole work?

In hyperthyroidism patiients usually have severe palpitation, to reduce that proplanolol is used. It is not for high blood pressure in this situation. Thanks.
