I had unprotected sex with my bf on march 1. Within 24 hrs I took nowill 1.7 mg (levonorgestrel) tablet. My last period date was from 23 feb to 27 feb. Today its bleeding but not as heavy bleeding in periods. It is just spotting. It is dark brown in color. Is there is any chance of pregnancy? I'm unmarried and don't want to get pregnant?

The irregular bleeding or spotting that can occur during pregnancy is often a dark brown or a light pinkish color. It should not be enough bleeding to fill pads or tampons over a few days.

Hi, I had unprotected sex on december 8th, (my period ended on 7th december). Took levonorgestrel (ecp) within 12 hours. I had heavy bleeding after one week (started on 15th december) which lasted for 5 days. I get periods on 30th of each month. But my periods were one week late (i.e started on 7th january). Now I usually feel bloating. Am I pregnant? I just got delayed period at that time only. After that I am getting regular periods.

If you are getting regular periods, there is no chance of pregnancy. For your mental peace, you can go for beta hcg test if you like. Moreover taking levonorgestrel just a day after periods is unnecessary. Unless you have bleeding for more than 7 days. Because that would be safe period.

She took the tab for a period of 21 days and then stopped taking after which her menstruation cycle began. As she rechecked up with the doctor she was asked to restart the medications for 2 more months. From which day of periods after 3rd day shell she start the first tablet of the pack. First one may be withdrawal bleeding, next one may be your normal period soo that is why it occur twice in a month.

I am having yellowish brown discharge since monday, my period was supposed to be on tuesday but until now im still not getting it. I had also a discharge yesterday, it was not slimy nor sticky, not even watery, it's a bit creamy and it is not continuous. I have taken ecp last week and the week before my ovulation, due to unprotected deed. Am I pregnant or is this the cause of the ecp? The ecp I drank has levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol. I still have not taken a pt home, we wanna wait until friday.

There is no fixed time in which one bleeds after taking an emergency contraceptive pill. Sometimes unexpected bleeding occurs more over it is not necessary. The next menstrual cycle can be early or delayed as side effects of the pill. You need to do a urine pregnancy test. It should be done 10 days after missing your period. For example, if your date was 10th, then do the test on the 20th. Before that, it can give a false negative or false-positive test.
