No, it can be taken during menses for spasmodic pain that is dysmenorrhoea. But excess of anything is always avoided. If you want to conceive, take care that you do not take any painkiller during ovulation time.

That tablets never cause delayed period. Period may be delayed due to pregnancy or other reasons (hormonal problems, problems in thyroid, uterus etc). So, first get urine pregnancy test done and then consult doctor.
