Sir, my dad aged 79 yrs, suffered from TIA on 18 june, he is having sinus bradycardia with RT carotid artery plaque with TIA with BPH .He is taking these medicines right now Tab. clopitab A 75/75-OD, Tab. Orcibest 10 mg 1/2 TDS, Tab.Candace-h 2.5 OD, Tab U-speed 0.4 mg,Tab Nitrolong 2.6 BD, Tab. Etek plus OD, Tab.Sorbitrate 5 mg SOS. His holter monitoring was done which showed average heart rate 53bpm during the day, 49 bpm at night and 51bpm over complete recording. Maximum heart rate was 76 bpm at 13: 12:52, minimum heart rate was 39bpm at 23: 09:29, the standard deviation overall normal beats wad109. 0.In total 73985 beats were found which 1 were classified as ventricular beats. Kindly suggest what to do.

Did he suffer loss of consciousness at any time. If so, then we may do electrophysiology study in Cath Lab and consider pacemaker if results are abnormal. I assume the carotid artery narrowing is not significant and does not merit angioplasty. He needs treatment with aspirin, clopidogrel and statins. Avoid beta blockers. Might need Pacemaker in future.

Whether it is right or other alternate while sometime feeling mild pain in heart or combustion like formation of enzyme or some heaviness. Suggest me cheapest and best solution. Recently had an attack and admitted in the hospital and angioplasty with 2 stents were placed. Another block which is narrow in nature to be treated with another stent which costs high again. No financial support / insurance support. Hence started regular exercise like walking for nearly 6 kms a day and reducing weight, sugar level, pressure level etc. Regularly taking medicines such as plavix, storvas, ecosprin, cardace, seloken xl, nitrocontin etc. Still got doubt whether any further medicine that can reduce the chance Of going for another angioplasty expenses, any ayurvedic, home medicine that can cure the block. I do feel discomfort very rarely. I am aged just 60 years (retired). Pls advise.

My father is hypertensive and type 2 dm and had done Angioplasty 3 times in 2005,2008,2017he is take cap metolar xr 50 od, minipress Xl 2.5,cardace am5 bd, nitrocontin 2.6bd, cetapin xr500 bd, and ecosprin gold 10 od f/b 10-10-10 unit humalog And 14 unit at night lantus. By this the blood value s and bp is normal or sometime bp 100/60mmhg. My question is by taking long time no problem is there na. By strictly taking these medications daily. And age is 58 years 8mths. Thanx in advance.

Nitrocontin is usually omitted after successful angioplasty. All other medicines prevent trouble. Discuss about duration of dual antiplatelet therapy with your cardiologist.

Vitamin K2 with MK7 form is reported to be helping activate dormant stem cells and prevent chronic diseases including for heart. I am a diabetic for 35 years but fully under control now (Fasting 86-100 PP 125-145) and am taking Deplatt A 75 with Nitrocontin 2.6 for a narrowing in a minor artery detected 20 years back. Can I take K2 80 mcg once daily without crossing lines with these medications? I am just 82 years young and healthy and fit otherwise.

Blockage in all three arteries with reduced heart function& hhistory of cardiac arrest is a serious thing. He will definitely need a by pass surgery (CABG). The risk of the surgery will be higher than a normal patient with blockage in all three arteries.
