Pedal edema is a common side effect with calcium channel blockers. Alternate would be metoprolol or a thiazide diuretic. Avoid beta blockers if you're an asthmatic. Common side effects of beta blockers are tremors and postural hypotension.
Thiazide diuretic would be ideal if no other contraindication.
Do consult your physician with detailed history.

I am sorry to hear about your concern, but will be happy to assist you.
A person with only one kidney may have a normal level of about 1.8 or 1.9. Creatinine levels that reach 2.0 or more in babies and 10.0 or more in adults may indicate the need for a dialysis machine to remove wastes from the blood. Certain drugs can sometimes cause abnormally elevated creatinine levels.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.

Nicardia xl is one of the good drugs for bp control.
She is already on 3 bp medications. Bp control has a very important role in delaying the progress of the kidney disease. The only issue is nicardia xl is usually prescribed once a day dosage and needs careful bp monitoring if high doses are given.
