Hello lybrate-user, nexitoplus contains 5 mg of escitalopram and 0.5 mg of clonazepam. When you use any tablet containing clonazepam for more than two weeks you may get withdrawal symptoms and these withdrawal symptoms almost mimic like anxiety symptoms. Hence I advise you to separately take nexito 5 mg and clonazepam 0.25 mg which is a half of the dose which you had taken earlier. And you can stop clonazepam 0.25 mg after two weeks.

Dear lybrate-user,
rexipra 10 mg is escitalopram 10 mg. It is available. The same medicine in different brand names are also available freely in the market. But it is better to consult your psychiatrist regularly and adjust the dose or to stop it. It may not be a tablet for your whole life.

3. Avoid stressful, stimulating activities like doing work, disc...more

Yes nexito plus can be taken for long term. But if you are asymptomatic on medicine since long a trial to reduce medicine can be given but again your primary care giving doctor will be best judge as he/she knows your illness well.

Dear Lybrate user
nexito forte is given for anxiety disorders. You have not mentioned whethet this medicine has been prescribed by a psychiatrist or you are taking on your own. So now, as you had written that you have been taking it for last 3 yrs, you can't stop it just like that suddenly. You will have withdrawal symptoms. You need to consult the doctor, don't stop on your own. You need to reduce the dose slowly and then it can be stopped gradually but that also with the help of the doctor...more

We are glad to know that you are currently on medications for depression and anxiety. I believe you have spoken with your prescribing psychiatrist about the medications and subsequently have anxiety about one of them after looking them up on the internet. I would like to let you know that clonazepam is a long acting benzodiazepine anti anxiety medication which has the least amount of addictive potential and is very potent in terms of relief of anxiety symptoms. Although we cannot make any recomm...more
