Dear lybrate-user,
did you have dry mouth, headache, racing thoughts, jittery and agitation before taking desvenlafaxine or sertraline? Yes, you did have - they are all anxiety symptoms. Instead of googling side effects of the tablets, please google mixed anxiety depressive disorder, adrenaline reaction, stress management, recurrent major depressive disorder, etc. Please consult your doctor so that sertraline dose can be increased to an effective dose.

Do sports (at home, if you feel more confortable) but 3x 30min/week.
Eat more greens, oilseeds, fresh fruits and food rich in magnesium such as: raw spinach, fish, beans, lentils, avocados, brown rice, bananas, figs and chocolate.
If you have a pet, cuddle with it more often and take care of it. It will make you shift your focus from anxiety to something else.
Try to catch the sun everyday for 10mins.
Check your levels of vit D and B12 (adjust with supplements if needed).

Lybrate user.
You are working on effects of anxiety but how about working on main cause of it.
As you already know that it has started from an incident in past so why it has created such impact need to work on that. With medication if you do counselling and psychotherapy you will b able to see the change fast. Metaphor therapy works very good to overcome past issues.

Dear lybrate-user, both anxiety disorder and irritable bowel can be managed non medically, if you are motivated to try continuously for months together. I don't know since how long you are taking these tablets. Most of the drowsiness tend to reduce in 2-3 weeks. Heart rate above 100 is well controlled by beta blocker. Now think whether you want the severity of 2020 or the drowsiness and palpitations. No pain no gain. Whether pain is more or gain is more. Try therapy, jacobson's deep muscle relax...more
