Consult the treating Psychiatrist before doing anything as not tablets retain their bioavailability after being crushed. The amount of medication available within the body may reduce if it is crushed and mixed with food items. Consult the treating Psychiatrist for alternative medication which is orodispersible or mixes with food.

Yes you can take these medicines as advised by psychiatrist. You just need dosage adjustment as per your stage of CKD. Both these drugs can be given but at lower dosage and I am sure your psychiatrist must have done the job already.

Dear Harish,
There are many companies that manufacture desvenlafaxine. Most companies have their distributors at Chennai. You can ask your nearest chemist for desvenlafaxine 50 mg. He will get it for you. Please don't stop the drug on your own. Discuss with your doctor before weaning.

If the medicine is suiting you and you are psychologically stable, desvenlafaxine is safe. Regarding weight and high cholestrol you should do life style modifications - walking/ skiiping/ jogging and avoid sugary foods. Take more fibre and less carbohydrates.
