1.You should maintain high grade of personal hygiene. 2.Do change your underclothes at least 2 times a day
3.Wear cotton under garments

To identify the organism causing the infection, you will have to give a urine sample for culture. If the infection has lasted for 6 years that means it is probably resistant to a lot of antibiotics. It is better to get your gynaecologist to have a physical examination so they can rule out any other infection.
