A lot depends on what you consider loose motion and what feeds the baby is on. If the baby is on breast milk, even 7-8 semi formed stools are not really diarrhoea. If the baby is not loosing any weight, passing urine normally, feeding normally, not vomiting, it is not diarrhoea. The point is if it is not really diarrhoea, why are we treating it all. Yes it is ok. You can start with it. But taking only ofloxacin is not enough. Take tinidazole or metronidazole or ornidazole with it.
