Hi Mr. lybrate-user. For temporary relief from nasal obstruction you can use these drops for short duration (< 5 days) along with saline nasal drops. For recurrent /persistent nasal obstruction kindly consider ent clinical examination with ent specialist in your area. Thanks.

Dear ,
otrivin is a very strong nasal decongestant and generally not to be used lightly. Since you don't mention the reasons for using this, probably we can presume he had some nasal symptoms. I would suggest that you arrange a consultation for your brother with an ent surgeon to get the appropriate treatment for him. In the meanwhile he can use saline nasal drops 2-3 drops 4-5 times a day and also plain steam inhalation 2 -3 times a day.
Best wishes.

you certainly have nasal allergy. Otrivin is not the drug of choice. As a matter of fact it has many short term and long term side effects and now out oif favour drug. You should see an ent or allergy specialist who will prescribe the right drug for you.
