FCCP (USA), MD - Pulmonary Medicine

Pulmonologist•Indore
Thanks for your query.
First be sure that your symptoms are not due to heart problem. If it is COPD in acute exacerbation not controlled on enough doses of bronchodilators, you may be needing a short course 7-10 days of oral steroid.
Get a arterial blood gas analysis done. If carbon dioxide is rising, you may require non invasive ventilation like tiotropium.
Once stable add inhaler tiotropium once daily to your medication.

Best wishes.

Dear Lybrate user as per your mentioned symptoms you are most probably suffering from allergic rhinitis. Use antiallergic when required. You can also do yoga (anulom vilom) to improve the ventilation of your sinuses and enhance immunity. Lifestyle modification is very important in reflux disease management increase fibres and decrease intake of spices from your diet. You may consult an ent specialist at Lybrate for detail evaluation and management.

Ma'am does your daughter snore at night?. Primary cause for allergic rhino sinusitis in children is mostly enlarged adenoids. If that isn't the case then the deviated septum might be causing the obstruction. Since it's been only 2 months that you are faced with such situations. This can be taken care of by meds alone. please consult your ent doctor. Sometime it takes a little time for the condition to settle .don't panic.
